You need the Bitlocker PIN, your Fraunhofer-Smartcard and Smartcard PIN and your account data (username and password).

Step 1: Insert your smartcard into the reader on the left side of your notebook with the chip facing up

Step 2: The first thing you see after powering up you notebook. Enter the bitlocker PIN.
Step 3
Step 3: Connect to a wired or wireless network using the marked icon in the bottom right corner.
Step 4
Step 4: Open the VPN application using the marked icon in the bottom right corner.
Step 5
Step 5: Select the profile “Fraunhofer FIT” and click “Connect”. Enter your personal Smartcard PIN when prompted.
Step 6
You are now connected to the corporate VPN network.
Step 6: Select “Anderer Benutzer” in the bottom left corner.
Step 7
Step 7: Enter your username (Anmeldename) and password. Make sure to connect to “AD” or use “ad\<username>” if in doubt.
Step 8
Congratulations, you are done.
You are now able to start working with your notebook. Take a look at the FIT intranet to get started or change your initial password.
